From Serving Food to Serving Joy: A Day of Impact at the Easter Egg Hunt

On the morning of Saturday, April 4, 2026, the Adventure Church Easter Egg Hunt brought together more than 6,000 Sutter and Yuba County residents at the River Valley High School Football Field for a joyful celebration of community. For the foster youth leading our food booth, the day became something far more meaningful than just work—it was a moment of connection, confidence, and belonging. As they served families and met new people throughout the morning, they were met with smiles, encouragement, and genuine appreciation from happy customers. Being part of such a special day—where hundreds of children laughed, played, and hunted for Easter eggs—gave these young leaders a sense of pride and purpose. They didn’t just help serve food; they helped create joy, and in doing so, experienced firsthand the impact they can have in their community.
